(“We” “us” or “our”) means Ag Assist Limited. (“You”, “Your” or “users”) means any individuals, contractors, companies or organisations whether inside or outside of New Zealand using or engaging with our website and/or our services.
What information we collect
We do not collect personal information on this website unless you choose to give it to us. If you provide personal information through this website, it will be held securely and stored on our data base as required by the Privacy Act 2020. Places on our website you can provide us your personal information include:
- The contact page;
- Registering your business or organisation;
- Registering your interest as a job seeker; and
- Signing up in one of our portals.
Personal information we collect and store about you includes, your name (or business name), your email address, contact number, photo, details about your skills and past work experience, your location, performance ratings, notes about our interaction, how you found us and billing information. We also collect further information if you choose to become verified with us. Where registration is required, your email address will be stored on our secured database.
You have a choice about what types of information you provide to be included in your profile. For example, you do not have to provide us with photos. While profile information helps you get more from our platform, including interest from other users of our service, please do not provide any personal information to your profile that you would not want to be publicly available. Please also do not provide photos that include anyone other than yourself.
Our website also collects general information when visitors connect and interact with our website. This includes, the visitors IP address, browser type and version, referral page (where the visitor came from), their search engine and their generalised geographic location (based off their IP address).
How we use and disclose information
Certain information you provide us (if you choose to) is available to all website users. We will only use personal information that you provide to us through this website for the purposes for which you supplied it or authorise it, to manage your account, provide services to you and other users, for safety and security reasons, for analysis of your usage of our website and services, and in situations permitted under the Privacy Act 2020.

We may use your information to keep you updated with any marketing information or general information regarding our work, projects or opportunities that you may be interested in.
We use geo fencing technology and software on our platform which collects data to monitor your generalised location when you are using our platform (for example, when you are performing a job and you sign in and out of a timesheet).
We may use your email address to send you information and news of our services of offers by us and our affiliates. We may also use your email address to send you updates in respect of your use of our services (for example, the status of upcoming or completed jobs).
Storing and protecting your personal information
To protect your information, we have strict privacy and confidentiality processes for our staff. Your data will be stored in the Ag Assist database software, which is a secure data base.
Ag Assist maintains reasonable safeguards to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. In the event of a data breach, we will report it to the Office of the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner and comply with all obligations we have under the Privacy Act 2020.
E-commerce and online payment security
When you visit our website, we collect cookies. We use cookies to track and analyse the number of repeat visitors to our website, the length of time visitors spend on our website, preserve logins and login data, and the navigation pathways visitors use on our website. Cookies are also used to remember visitors preferences when interacting with our website.

Important permissions
Our platform requires the Access_Coarse_Location Access_Fine_Location permissions in order to detect and enable Bluetooth functions. Bluetooth is used to communicate and modify our products and/or services.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), your personal information may be transferred outside of the EEA. Where personal information is transferred outside the EEA, it will only be transferred to countries that have been identified as providing adequate protection for EEA data (like New Zealand), or to where we have approved transfer mechanisms in place to protect your personal information.
