We are a start-up company and our goal at Ag Assist is to connect people to the land.  We do this through our online platform that connects farmers and local workers.

Being farmers ourselves, we know it can be hard to find skilled workers, especially those that are available at short notice.

Throughout the development of Ag Assist we have worked closely with our users and constantly hear how Ag Assist has made a difference to their business, family and life.

Our approach to market is measured and deliberate.  We have staggered our launch to minimise risk, learn and adapt along the way and build capacity and skills to ensure our users have a positive experience.

There are two key parts to our platform:

  • Connecting for one-off or regular short-term work
  • Connecting for long-term, season-based work

Our initial launch has been focused in Canterbury for one-off or short-term work and now with your help we are now ready to create awareness and build demand in more regions for this.  We have a waitlist for those users in regions outside of Canterbury.  We communicate with these users directly as we build supply and demand on the platform.

Our long-term placement board has recently become available and will be valuable NZ-wide as farmers prepare for a new season ahead.

We currently support Dairy, Sheep & Beef, Arable and Dairy Support operations and have plans to expand beyond these industries in the future.
